Some of my conversation with Mom

This has been going on for years, off and on. This year, I completely stopped speaking to them for the most part; we keep them in touch with the kids so they can build a relationship but even there we need to be careful.

Usually, they just ignore the facts with which I push back and just go silent. They have told me I have TDS, and that my sources (I rely mostly on Popok to point me in the right direction, and then I read legal filings myself) are biased.

Their main source of news is Catholic radio.

Today is the first time I’ve felt like we’re making progress, and I think it’s because Mom’s gloves finally came off and she’s trying to engage factually with bad facts she got from Catholic radio.

They say proudly, “we don’t watch Fox!” But it has seemed like they’re getting more or less the same information.

I’m curious about how this maps to other conversations with MAGAs. Have you had exchanges like this? Were they successful?

This is too short-form for a Post really, around here, but I felt like it was pithier than a Note. :-/
